About the Project

While attending Humber College in Toronto I relied heavily on a bicycle to get around and run errands. I became fascinated in the revival of utilitarian cycling, and realized there weren’t any publications devoted to this growing culture.

This resulted in the creation of a concept magazine that would discuss everything to do with utilitarian bicycle culture, from products and innovation, to fashion, culture, and events. The magazine could be distributed in many of Toronto’s local bike shops and be contributed to by different writers on subjects like bike repair, favourite routes, and making Toronto a more bike friendly city. The magazine could be incrementally rolled out to cities with growing utilitarian cycling communities, and then supplemented by a website & online community.
